Crime Alerts and Overactive Imaginations

So the other day there was a crime alert at my school and suspect description was:

  • White male
  • Mid 20s
  • Approximately 510 tall
  • average build
  • Short blonde hair
  • Facial stubble
  • Wearing black athletic pants, no shirt
And yesterday I remembered I had to print some stuff out for a class so I went walking to the library at around 8:30pm. It was pretty dark so I stuck to well lit areas just to be safe, then I noticed a guy running on the other side of the street and he was
  • White male
  • Mid 20s
  • Approximately 510 tall
  • average build
  • Short blonde hair
  • Wearing black athletic pants, no shirt
And I freaked the hell out! Like I’ve felt that scared before in my life! So I’m watching him jog by like a hawk, prepared to scream for help if he’s that suspect. But then he keeps jogging so I calm down and tell myself I was overreacting and that he’s just a jogger.
THEN he stops and reaches for something in his pocket and the first thing that pops into my head is “HE HAS A GUN!!!!!!” But then it turned out to be a phone. He checked it and kept jogging.
And that was my terrifying night. I wonder if that guy was aware that he was dressed like the suspect? Unless…nah, he was probably just a night jogger. I mean, right? Right?
